Photo Prompt: Photograph a mushroom

Today’s Practicing the Presence invitation: Photograph a mushroom.

Is there a season for mushrooms? I’m not sure, but they seem to be everywhere in my yard all of a sudden. Mushrooms appear almost overnight, especially after rain. You may not have noticed anything happening, and then suddenly, there they are.

As you take your photo, ask yourself:

What might be happening in my life that I can’t see yet?

Practicing the presence means paying attention to what God is doing right now, even when we don’t fully understand it or see the results yet. Sometimes we notice God’s work clearly. Other times, much of it seems to be happening beneath the surface.

A mushroom can be a small reminder that unseen doesn’t mean inactive.

Today, notice what appears. And consider where you might trust that God is at work even when you can’t see it yet.
