At its heart, spiritual direction is a quiet, sacred conversation between you and God with a companion who listens alongside you.
It’s an ancient practice of attending together to the movement of the Holy Spirit, trusting that God is already present and speaking in your life. While we can often listen on our own, it’s surprising how much clearer that voice becomes when we listen in community. Spiritual direction simply creates space for that kind of deep noticing.
There is no “right” way to come. You don’t need perfect words or spiritual certainty just a willingness to pay attention.
For some, that attention unfolds through conversation. For others, it may include silence, Scripture, imagination, creative practices, or even sacred story.
Because God meets us in many ways.
What to Expect
Sessions are about one hour and are offered online or in person (if you’re local).
We begin in quiet and move gently, through silence, prayer, reflection, and conversation about what God may be stirring in you.
Depending on your personality and season, our time might also include:
Guided imaginative prayer with Scripture
Reflecting on a story (including children’s literature or Godly Play wondering)
Journaling, coloring, or simple creative practices
Pausing to notice bodily awareness and emotion
There is no agenda to complete, only space to listen.
Sessions are typically held monthly, though the rhythm can shift depending on your needs.
